happy birthday to RED, my buddy and all-things-dtek cofounder. 32 two days ago. at dinner tonight (no prompting), in the Carrie Rose voice, Jonah said "oh yeah!" and "you got that right". then he said, "remember Rhys?".
and to shy, my fellow boro new kid and soon to be CNet vice president. he'll be 35 on sunday. his pouting also spurred me to dust off the Wild Bor World Cup Pool one day before the deadline. i just can't believe he'd say this: "yip yip mexico manyana"
happy birthday RED and shy!
Happy birthday, both you bastards!
Belated, I know. I suck.
happy birthday RED and shy!
so shy, you don't deny that you'll be 35? you are really getting over the hill.
happy birthday RED and shy!
thanks budddy
mexico! oh yeah! you got that right!
no apologies for the yips, but i'll concede that if i knew how to put my ~ on my n i wouldn't have spelt it manyana. some kinda § or µ or º type thing might have been helpful.
good to hear that my pouting can still turn guilt into inspiration. was afraid i'd lost my touch.
seriously though, bravo and the mexicans were rockstars against iran. okay, it was iran. but i just moved to the mission district (in sf) and most of the flag-waving, horn-honking, jersey-wearing spirit I've seen has been for mexico, so i'm hedging my bets and adopting the neighborhood favorite/other hope for the continent. might even don an '02 mexican jersey at work tomorrow, at lunchtime at least. did the same thing for germany yesterday, kind of a tourney ho.
on the subject of being a traitor to the US, i wanna say one of the most impressive and dominant players of the tourney so far has been rosicky, the dual-scoring czech midfielder. hopefully we weren't just making him look good and he'll shred some holes in ghana's defense this weekend.
"old woman"
"man"
"sorry, old man"
"i'm 37"
"what?"
"i'm 37. i'm not old"
"well i can't just call you 'man'"
