i've just enabled email subscriptions on dtek.tv (thanks to Drupal's contributed subscriptions module!).

this means you can get phpBB-style email notifications for any discussion thread that you'd like (a forum topic, blog post, etc), which is a feature i'd been missing since we made the switch from phpBB recently. here's how it works:

• to subscribe, just view the thread and click one of the 'subscribe' links at the bottom of the post (above the comments)
• manage all of your subscriptions from the 'My subscriptions' link in the navigation under your username on the left
• subscribe by default to any thread that you start or comment on by going to 'My account' in the left navigation, Editing your profile, checking the Autosubscribe box under 'Subscription settings', and clicking Submit

(you have to be logged in to do any of this, of course.)

it seems to work pretty well in my quick testing, but try it out and see what you think.
