A group called Snake Tooth got together last year and played some old favorites by Neil Young at Bar 4.
Folks in the crowd got involved, requested songs and sang along. Hell, some even picked up banjos, harmonicas, and bass guitars and started played with the band. It was touching. It sure was fine.
This Sunday, April the 5th, at 5pm at Bar 4 they'll be doing it again.
The invitation is open for all to come up and sing or play along. The lyrics and tabs will be projected on a big screen. If you want to bring your own instrument along to play, you are invited to. Doo wops and back up singers welcome. Check out the set list below of songs already curated, check out HyperRust.org for more songs, lyrics and tabs. If you want to make sure the band can do your song, leave the title as a comment on this post to request it.
This handsome young hillbilly from San Diego will be playing some drunk gospel songs he wrote to kick things off.

Thanks to all who came around -- especially the band, all who sang, the steady back-up singers, Mike Pope, and big Dom for opening up the space, and his big old heart. Once again, it was a real positive event. Below are some photos -- as you can see, this is incomplete. Send me more photos and I'll get them up here. We've got some video clips from the first half on the way as well...
We've been invited back to do every 3 weeks... Every 3 months might be more sustainable. Ideas that came up:

I don't think I ever actually got around to "Too Far Gone" last time, so that's a possibility. But I'm really feeling "Cowgirl in the Sand" and/or "Harvest".
Nice tooth, by the way.
