man, what a man.

he coaxed me through much angst, bypassing the teenage Holden-Caulfield-style phony-detectors... he literally brought my wife and i together, and inspired the name of our son. wow, that's quite a list. i loved that guy.

i know it's cliche by now, but i'll repeat the obvious... so it goes.

what's anyone reading these days? i find myself in need of a book.

i'm still on a pick-an-unread-book-off-the-shelf kick, but would love to get some suggestions... i'm in the mood for fiction. any gems lately? any untested interests/recommendations?

i'm still pretty high on Kazuo Ishiguro, and could easily run with An Artist of the Floating World (which is waiting, unread on our shelves), though maybe i should branch out.
